Gallery2: This is a collection of works in different mediums. Some of them are older than others and are just floating around the flat awaiting an audience someday. I have more plans to paint in the near future. I'm currently waiting for some news on a studio space where I'll be able to make more mess than the rental flat I'm in currently. Dimensions are given in height first. I only mention this as I'm not sure of the conventional order of measurements

This was the second image I did of Dave Grohl of Nirvana/Foo Fighter fame. The painting was done some time last year. I preferred this final piece to the first. He has a very distinctive look which I prefer in the portraits I chose to paint.

'An Honest Mistake' A1 Collage and Mixed Media On Card
No, it's not a typing error but possibly a a consequence to the migrant workforce within the Americas. This was an image gained through a trip to Vancouver. Hot Dog stands are as recognisable as our black cab throughout the US and Canada. This image was completed a few weeks ago. I am hoping to do more collage based work in the future. The image is available in a Limited Edition print run of fifty.

'Go Go Gadget Gospel - JC' 600mm x 600mm Woodcut
This is it an imaged carved into wood. I am not overtly religious but have a respect for faith. I largely believe that I have one, although know very little to argue its merits. I think time I have spent in Russia has provoked my interest of the icon and the power of faith.
I have had the original framed in a large chunky ash frame which was an expense I felt necessary to give it a degree of reverence.

I don't live and breath for Nirvana in case you were curious of the choices of modern day icons. I am however of the Nirvana generation and again Kurt Cobain is iconic. The work isn't framed but painted on a deep box frame which looks great on a wall as it is.

'Go Go Gadget Gospel - Print ' 600mm x 600mm Woodcut Print
I have only made six prints of this image. Three onto white card and another three on brown parcel paper as pictured on this site. The prints have an added quality to the original in that they looked very weathered. Again, I have had these framed in a large frame as I have an idea of how I want them to be presented. The frames are the expense part hence the asking price.

'Half A World Away - Vancouver' Oil On Canvas (diptych) 2 x 800mm x 1000mm
I love Vancouver. This image is taken from Granville Bridge looking toward English Bay hence the title of the picture. It is a large picture across two canvas's, each of which are very different in content, the left canvas wide and open, the right canvas densely populated with buildings of downtown Vancouver. To me this city has found a way to marry the natural surroundings with a buzzing city environment.
